FKB’s Andrew R. Jones and Izabell Lemkhen were featured speakers at the New York State Bar Association’s 2015 Statewide Legal Malpractice CLE.

Mr. Jones spoke about identifying and responding to professional liability claims, including claim notification and reporting issues, responding to and reporting of potential claims, what is covered under the typical lpl policy, the scope of covered professional services, typical exclusions, and ways for insured attorneys to most effectively work with their carrier and any appointed defense counsel.

Ms. Lemkhen was part of a distinguished panel of insurance industry professionals. The topics covered during the panel focused on legal malpractice risk management issues relating to client intake, conflict searches, due diligence in file opening and closing, the various stages of the representation, best practices for attorneys and law firms, and the key elements of a proper engagement/retainer agreement.

The Seminar took place in 5 different locations Statewide. Andrew and Izabell spoke at the Radisson, 120 East Main Street, Rochester, New York.
