FURMAN KORNFELD & BRENNAN LLP IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT COREY M. COHEN HAS BEEN NAMED OF COUNSEL OF THE FIRM, EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1, 2020


Corey M. Cohen is based in Furman Kornfeld & Brennan LLP’s New York office. Mr. Cohen’s practice focuses on: (1) insurance coverage analysis and litigation; (2) legal malpractice and professional liability; and (3) general liability litigation with a focus on construction related matters. His diverse experience as a member of both the Plaintiff and Defense bars underpins his ability to litigate complex cases here at FKB, and has helped him to earn the respect of FKB’s attorneys, clients, insurers, and adversaries. Mr. Cohen has worked tirelessly to manage and spearhead FKB’s growing insurance coverage and litigation practice.

Prior to joining FKB, Mr. Cohen spent time as Assistant General Counsel at a New York City law firm and practiced in varied areas including professional ethics, personal injury, fee disputes, family law, corporate litigation, insurance coverage, general liability, trusts, estates, and real estate. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland and Rutgers School of Law. During law school, Mr. Cohen was a member of the National Moot Court trial team, was selected as an editor of the Race and the Law Review at Rutgers School of Law, and worked as a research assistant to Professor Louis Raveson. Mr. Cohen previously served as a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Professional Responsibility Committee and currently serves as a member on the New York City Bar Association’s Construction Law Committee.
