RACHEL AGHASSI, based in the Firm’s New York office, is a member of FKB’s legal malpractice and professional liability groups and has spear-headed FKB’s growing cyber-liability practice.  For almost five years, Ms. Aghassi has worked tirelessly on behalf of FKB clients and has produced numerous victories and achievements, both at the trial and appellate level. Ms. Aghassi routinely takes on the more complex legal malpractice assignments here at the Firm, and has earned the respect of our attorney/clients, insurers, adversaries and judges. 

Prior to joining FKB, Ms. Aghassi was a prosecutor at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, where she handled over 750 criminal cases gaining trial experience, and, later, worked at an employment litigation firm concentrating in multi-million dollar class and collective action matters.  Ms. Aghassi is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and the Fordham University School of Law.  She has also been selected as a Super Lawyers New York Metro Rising Star for the years 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. 

PETER C. LUCAS is based in FKB’s Westchester’s office.  Mr. Lucas’ practice focuses on general and construction liability matters. Mr. Lucas has over a decade of professional experience in litigating complex actions sounding in municipal/governmental liability, property damage, motor vehicle accidents, general premises liability, breach of contract, Labor Law/construction liability claims, insurance coverage disputes, and legal malpractice.  Mr. Lucas is a proven litigator, an excellent advocate for FKB’s clients and is OSHA certified.  He has handled many large exposure construction accident matters for the Port Authority of NY & NJ and other FKB clients against some of the top plaintiff’s firms in NYC. 

Mr. Lucas is a graduate of Villanova University and Northeastern University School of Law.  Peter started his career as an Assistant Corporation Counsel with the New York City Law Department’s Tort Division, where he gained considerable trial experience.  He is a member of the New York State and Rockland County Bar Associations.

JOHN GIZUNTERMAN is based in FKB’s New York City office.  Mr. Gizunterman’s practice focuses on medical malpractice and general liability litigation matters.  Mr. Gizunterman’s practice includes on the defense of hospitals and physicians in complex medical malpractice litigation involving birth related injuries, wrongful death, pressure ulcers, and failure to diagnose. 

Mr. Gizunterman is a graduate of Stony Brook (SUNY) and St. John’s Law School.  John is an active member of various local and state bar associations.  Prior to law school, John served our Country honorably as a Senior Military Intelligence Analyst in the United States Army and New York National Guard.
