Britney Monroe earned her B.S. in Criminal Justice from Loyola University Chicago in 2010. Ms. Monroe earned her Juris Doctor in 2015 from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. At The John Marshall Law School, Ms. Monroe was a member of the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Honor Society, and participated in the Trial Advocacy & Dispute Resolution Honors Council.
Prior to joining Furman Kornfeld & Brennan, Ms. Monroe began her legal career as a staff attorney with the Legal Aid Society, Bronx neighborhood office. During her time as a staff attorney she provided legal representation and advocacy for individuals and families facing eviction.
Ms. Monroe also worked as an agency attorney for the Administration for Children’s Services where she represented the agency in Family Court on all aspects of child protective proceedings, including neglect cases and permanency hearing proceedings.
Ms. Monroe is admitted to the New York State Bar.
