FKB’s Neil Kornfeld obtains a defense verdict after a five week trial in Supreme Court, Bronx County in a medical malpractice action. The case involved allegations that the defendant doctor failed to diagnose and treat an infection in the plaintiff’s foot that resulted in the development of osteomyelitis and amputation of multiple toes. The plaintiff claimed that the defendant failed to take x-rays and perform a culture of the non-healing ulcer. The jury returned a unanimous defense verdict.
