FURMAN KORNFELD & BRENNAN LLP is pleased to announce that Aaron M. Barham and has been named Partner and Benjamin M. Oxenburg has been named Of Counsel of the Firm, effective January 1, 2022


Aaron M. Barham, based in the Firm’s New York City office, is a member of FKB’s legal malpractice and insurance broker liability practice.  Aaron has taken the lead role in many successful outcomes over the past several years, both at the trial and appellate level.  Aaron has also proven himself as an effective mentor and resource in the Firm, helping direct and supervise FKB associates in many cases for the wide spectrum of professional liability insurers FKB works with.  Aaron’s accessibility, dedication, and ability to effectively litigate complex assignments have helped FKB’s LPL group achieve many remarkable results. 

Aaron is a graduate of the University of Virginia and St. John’s University School of Law.  Prior to joining FKB, Aaron was a litigation associate with a New York City-based defense firm, where he defended top-tier hospitals and physicians in complex, high-exposure medical malpractice cases.  Aaron has also been selected as a Super Lawyers New York Metro Rising Star for the years 2019, 2020 and 2021.

Benjamin M. Oxenburg, based in the Firm’s New York City office, is a member of FKB’s legal malpractice, professional liability, and insurance coverage practice groups.  Ben has over a decade of professional experience litigating malpractice, general liability, commercial, real estate, and trusts & estates matters.  Since joining FKB, Ben has worked tirelessly on behalf of FKB clients and has obtained numerous victories and achievements, both at the trial and appellate level.  Ben is recognized as an exceptional legal writer and resource at the Firm, and regularly takes on the more complex and high exposure legal malpractice representations.  His advocacy has and continues to earn the respect of FKB’s clients, insurers, adversaries, and judges.

Prior to joining FKB, Mr. Oxenburg gained experience from a diverse array of companies and fields including Morgan Stanley, Colgate-Palmolive, Bloomberg, Westwood One, and New York University.  Mr. Oxenburg is a graduate of the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business and Yeshiva University’s Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he served as an Associate Editor and Staff Member on the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal.  He has been selected as a “Rising Star” in the New York Metro Area for the years 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020, and in 2021 was selected to Super Lawyers.
