Andrew C. Tobman

Andrew Tobman has been licensed since 2001. Upon receiving his J.D., Andrew was commissioned as an officer in the Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. As an active duty lawyer/soldier, Andrew was involved in criminal prosecutions, administrative and tax law issues, and served as Chief Counsel before the Army’s Physical Evaluation Board. Following his military service, Andrew worked for the New York State Mental Hygiene Legal Service. There, he worked on complicated mental health cases from inception through trial.

Prior to joining FKB, Andrew worked for more than a decade at another medical malpractice and litigation firm where he defended some of the nation’s leading clinicians, and managed every phase of general liability matters.

Andrew is focused on the litigation of a variety of medical malpractice and general liability cases. He also handles a broad range of mental health-related work, including applications and hearings for Assisted Outpatient Treatment, guardianships and medication/treatment over objection.
