Mary Margaret Rackett is an associate attorney who is dedicated to assisting clients with their needs.  Ms. Rackett’s practice focuses on the areas of insurance coverage and litigation, attorney professional liability, general liability litigation, and any additional issues dealing with professional liability.

Ms. Rackett earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts Management in 2013 from Columbia College. In 2019, Ms. Rackett obtained her Juris Doctor from The Pennsylvania State University- Penn State Law.

Prior to joining Furman Kornfeld & Brennan LLP, Ms. Rackett was employed by the City of New York as an attorney in the Family Court Legal Services division focusing her practice on negligence and abuse cases. It was there that Ms. Rackett honed her skills in litigation matters. Before attending law school, Ms. Rackett was employed as a paralegal at a personal injury firm, focusing on plaintiff defense. This unique perspective allows Ms. Rackett to see many facets of a case matter and find the best resolution for her clients.

Ms. Rackett is admitted to practice in New York. She is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the New York City Bar Association.  Ms. Rackett also dedicates time to the Junior League of America, a volunteer service organization, whose current mission is to advance children’s social-emotional learning and provide life skills to youth and adults navigating difficult periods in their lives.
